My Prize Giving Story

Last night was prize giving but I didn’t go I went to my nana’s house and I was playing call of duty black ops 2. If I went to the prize giving I think I would've gotten a certificate of being a good friend. But I didn’t it would’ve been cool thoe and my parents would’ve been proud.


It was fun at my nana’s house because my uncle was there me and my uncle played 2 player on call of duty black ops 2. We played nuketown nevada U.S.A zombie’s it was fun it would’ve been cool at prize giving though. At prize giving we have to do a dance and after the dance our principal gives out lolly leis and certificates to people.

My 2012 Manaiakalani Reflection

The thing that surprised me this year is that I got my netbook on my birthday. My goal for 2013 is to get better at maths and writing. I think my learning has improved in reading and I think I have improved a little at maths and writing.

My manaiakalani story

My netbook is awesome!!! Yesterday the Minister of Education came to my school. The minister of education was talking about Manaiakalani. When the Minister of Education finished talking about Manaiakalani and our wireless network, we all prayed.
After we prayed mr Pat Sneddon talked about Manaiakalani. When Mr Pat Sneddon was done, my principal came and told us to thank our mum. So thank you Mum for paying for my netbook.

Manaiakalani Film Festival

This week was the film festival. Me and my school went to the Manaiakalani Film Festival at Hoyts cinemas. We all went on different buses. When we arrived, we all went in the theatre. Two of them at the film festival were from my class. I thought it was cool.

My Scary Doll Story

     The girl that gets turned into a doll.
One day a little girl was skipping down a snowy footpath, she made it to her favorite doll shop. She wrote her name onto the blackboard Alma perfect her name is Alma.

She looked behind her because there was a sound of cogs. And there was a doll that looked like Alma. Wanted that doll so she walked to the door and tried to open it.


The door wasn't opening then she walked away and threw a snowball at the door window. Then the door opened then she walked into the shop slowly and the doll that looked like her went on the shelf Alma bumped into a doll that was on a bike. It looked like it was trying to escape out of the shop until the door closed.

The doll on the bike with rusty chains, smacked its head onto the wooden door over and over again in desperation.


When Alma looked up again, her doll that looked like her had disappeared somewhere. She was looking around where the doll had last been seen but it wasn't there. When Alma looked up to a shelf filled with dolls she saw the doll she was looking for then started to climb up to the doll.

She saw two girl dolls moving their eyes looking at her. Alma had found what she was looking for. The doll that looked like Alma wasn’t moving its eyes and Alma was still trying to get the doll by climbing on the shelves filled with dolls.

The doll that looked like her kept on disappearing from one shelf to another. But Alma didn’t care she was careless in that doll shop.


Alma finally climbed up to the top shelf she touched the doll’s chest then suddenly Alma turned into a doll she couldn’t move at all, all she could do is move her eyes side to side.

Part of Charlie and the chocolate factory rettel

There was a boy called Charlie one day he was walking home back from school. While he was walking home something shiny caught his eye. It was a $1 coin he picked it up carefully then he flung all of the dirt off it.


After cleaning the coin he went into a shop. He walked to the counter then the shopkeeper asked what chocolate bar charlie wanted then charlie carefully picked. He picked willy wonkas scrumdidlyumptious.


After he ripped the wrapper off quickly then he gave the coin to the man at the counter. When he ate the chocolate the man at the counter gave Charlie some change. Charlie just had enough money for a regular wonka chocolate bar.
Charlie said “I’ll buy a regular wonka bar this time for my grandpa Joe” “Ok” the shop keeper said. Charlie gave the rest of his change to the Shopkeeper then left. When charlie left he saw a swarm of people at the newspaper cart. One of the people at the newspaper cart was talking about the guy who
had a fake golden ticket.

When Charlie heard the man who was talking about the guy who had the fake golden ticket he said nothing. Charlie walked away and carefully took off the wrapper and saw a glimpse of gold. He closed the wrapper he was over excited then he ripped the silver wrapper off and dropped the bar of chocolate and got the last golden ticket out. When he pulled out the last golden ticket out a greedy old lady grabbed him by the arm and shouted out “Hey this kid found the ticket he found the last golden ticket”, every crowded around him and some man told him to run all the way home and not stop and Charlie ran out and ran all the way home.

My Narrative Story

Last year on halloween a brother and sister went trick or treating and they only had one bucket between them. When they got back home they started to have a fight over the bucket full of lollies. One of them was dressed up in a ninja costume and the sister was dressed up as a clown. The brother said angrily “I will use my weapons on you” but he had none. The sister said “You have none” and then the little brother shouted out loudly “GIVE THE BUCKET TO ME”. Then their mum came and took it off them and ate all of the lollies and sent the brother and sister to their room.

my new mexico story

Along time ago in New Mexico there was a flood, a lot of kids were playing in a flood causing trouble amongst houses and splashing water onto clothes.
There was a kid whose name was Jamain. He climbed up to the very top because his friend dared him to do it. so he jumped off the roof because he wanted to be the man.
He landed on his stomach he tried to get up but he couldn't.  Water was covering his face. His upper body was pounding with pain and couldn't breath that much. A random friend reached out to his hand and took him to his brother Steven Fox

Steven Fox took him to the hospital because he had been injured. When he opened his eye his mum was so enthusiastic because Jamain was still alive that was good thing.
When they got back  stevens back side was red as superman's cape. After that the flood dried up everyone took the stuff down and put them back where they were. All the kids were bored without a  water anywhere to be seen.

Jamain came back home he was pleased to see his friends and family. his friends
ran and up to jamain and hugged him to heaven.

My Wordle

My Basketball Story

Today we are playing basketball our instructors names are Ty and salmon. We are using the school court. It is easy for us the blue team.
We are playing the green team. When the game was over we won. I thought that we were going to lose but we won.


It was time for my team to play the red team. I thought were  going to win. I told my friend Sosia. My friend Sosia was in my team and he is good at basketball.
It was a hard for all of us and the red team who won it was hard to beat the red team.

My Fare Well Story To Mrs Verry

Walking into assembly wondering what the chair in the middle of assembly was for. Then I sat down still thinking what the chair is for then a teacher from my school came in and sat on the chair. Then I noticed that it was a farewell chair for mrs Verry.


Looking at the principal hugging Mrs Verry with his wigge on and his big glasses on too.
I was about to cry when Mrs Verry was crying. My principal said she was a super granny and she was a good mum and the queen of bling.


I felt sorry for Mrs Verry because she is going to a retire from something to do with her knee. Next some girls talked to her and then done a samoan dance. Then my school got on with assembly.

Tommy Kapai Wilson

Wating for a man called Tommy Kapai wilson he is a famous man who writes books. My whole school saw him at asembly he told us a story about him. When he was a little kid his teacher told him he had a gift. She said that his gift was being good at writing he said will I go around the world she said yes he said will I be rich and famous she said yes he said cool.


His farther was in a war he came back home and he thought that violense and wars are dumb. And when Tommy grew up he went to america and met Gorege Harison. He was in the beatles and they both had a talk. Then Tommy started working for famous rich people like the crown prince that gave him a ferrari.


Then two weeks later he started calling him bro then he met a king every one called him hinis then two weeks later he called the king mate. Tommy and another guy worked on a giant boat some famous people owned it for two weeks a year then the rest of the time it was theres. Then he thought about his family then came back to New Zealand and that was the end of his story. Then he showed us a story about prinses Diana then asembly was over.

Tyrone and Brandon Paragraph 1 Aldora's Cross Country

Today we practiced re-crafting a peace of writing. The first paragraph belongs to Aldora and the second is mine.

“Cross country, Cross country” is the worst event ever. I would never dream about cross country. Today is cross country and I am not feeling good. But I  just want to support my team TE ARAWA.  “GO TE ARAWA” I said quietly to myself.



Cross country “why me?” I sat nervously. I didn’t know if I could win or if I might fall in the mud. I took a big breath and remembered the race from last year. I then knew what my goals were I just hope I would win.

Tyrone's Liu Xiang story

In the 2004 olympics I won the 110m hurdles. In the 2008 olympics I competed again but I lost because I went in to a obstacle my country thought I will win but I lost. In the 2012 London olympics my country counted on me so I competed again my whole country was watching.


Then we all started running then I jumped and hit my leg. I felt embarrassed and the person at the back of me stopped and I was disappointed then everyone else fell over. I got up then hopped away into a tunnel then some people said I was going the wrong way I said I am retired, then he went to the last hurdle and kissed it.


After I kissed it some people from a different team came to help me. That was the olympic spirit my leg was sore that I couldn't walk on it any more.

Cross Country 2012

Jogging down to the reserve we all walked to the starting line at the reserve. The 10 and 9 year old boys were ready to sprint all the way to tamaki college and all the way back to Pt -England. As Mr Burt said on your marks get set GO as I ran towards the bridge I was hoping I would came first in the finals. If I did come first I will be proud of myself but I didn't and I felt disappointed about my self.


As I was running through the bushes I was going to fall down. On slippery bridge and into the water. Well I was running down the bush it felt really exhausted. I was almost at the finished line and I felt so tired!!! Finally I crossed the finished line and everyone was cheering me on.


We were washing our legs because our legs were dirty because of the mud. Looking at all that water made me so thirsty. When I was done wishing the mud off my legs I quickly had the biggest drink of water ever.Then we sat down on the ground and watch every one that had to race and after that we went to room 17 because Miss King was still doing the cross country then she came and the we went home.

Tyrone's Cross Country Training

Every afternoon at 2 : 30 p.m we go to the courts to do cross country. As we get up to run I feel fitter and fitter When mr Marks yells out  year five boys year five boys run all the way down to the reserve.



As I run i'm hating every minute and I start thinking how much longer. By the time I got to mr Sommerville I was wishing for rain. He told everyone that they were doing a good job.
Not long after that I started walking.

When everyone started passing me I started running I got up to my teacher mrs King she tells us to hurry up. I didn’t want to upset my teacher so I started running a little faster.



I was almost there but I got tired so I started walking with my friend Frank. We started talking then we started jogging we got to the end. We all had to walk in a giant square after that we done stretches when we finished it was time to get our bags and go home.

The Olympic Torch

The olympic flame started at the ancient olympics in Greece. The flame was ignited from the sun and burned until the closing of the games.


In Olympia women in ancient style robes who are holding the olympic torch ignite it in a curved mirror. Next it gets put on fire by the sun this a tradition for the Greeks. The torch is then passed from person to person as it travels from Olympia to london.

The most important event at the opening ceremony is the lighting of the torch. It burns for two weeks until the game have finished.

The Spider

Pulling fabric off the class wall I see a spider crawling around. We all destroyed its home now it’s angry. Beware of the angry spider. It might bite now that its angry, now that we have destroyed its home. I think it will find a new home to live in.


Everyone started to look at it. “I think its a white tail” I said to my friend. We had to sit on the mat everyone started getting excited. It might be famous now. Do you think it is?

About Term 2

I enjoyed swimming and painting. I didn’t enjoy doing reflections because they are too easy! I learnt about Kandinsky who was born in moscow, Russia.


Overall I felt happy. I found most interesting painting colours. I could have listened more to Miss King because she knew more than me about Art.

Snow Day

Light snowflakes drift downwards blanketing the city. Transforming the landscape into a magical winter wonderland. Delicate flakes float, tumbling like a feather, dissolving slowly as they sprinkle on your tongue.

The cars went skidding and sliding, school’s now over for the day due to dangerous conditions. Slip and slide, there are broken trees that fell over from the wind last night. Plunging temperatures  and power cuts, people freeze in the severe storm.

When Pigasso met Mootise

When Pigasso met Mootise.

One day there was a bull who liked painting. He wasn't like all the other bulls who liked bullfighting he liked to paint. And there was a pig who liked to paint he wasn’t like other pigs who liked playing in the mud. One day there was heaps of pigs who wanted Pigasso's paintings. meanwhile mootise had a lot of bulls trying to get them. So they moved to a quiet place pigasso got a farm and mootise got a nice house then they had a fight. So they built a wall then they missed each other. So an art museum bought it then they lived happly ever after

Composition IV

Composition four is a swirling mix of colour and soaring lines.



   The painting is divided strongly down the centre with thick,black, vertical lines. On
                 left hand side violent motion is expressed by sharp jagged tangled lines. On the right
       hand side and calm emotions using sweeped forms and colour on top.




The dividing lines are really two swords held by red-hatted cossacks. Next to them a third
white-bearded cossack leans against the puple sword they stand before a blue mouintan with a castle on top.



In the lower left two boats are depicted and a rainbow. In the lower right two people lie on a hill while two priests are watching them.

Tyrone melted crayon

Our topic for term 2 is art alive YAY! Were going to learn about different types of art and their artists. Yesterday my class and I made melted crayons. First we got a canvas.

Next Miss King gave us some crayons. There were a lot of colorful crayons, Iisa told us to take the paper off the crayons. We had to use Miss King’s crayons because our cause didn’t glue onto the cardboard. We cut the stencil out of cardboard and made a word at the bottom of the canvas using black paint.

We got the hair dryer and melted the crayons, the gravity made it drip down and it got hard fast. It looked like a pig sty.

After that we made a movie of the artwork with the flip vid, we worked in groups.  l was happy with the artwork it looked cool.

My Camp Song

Camp

Yesterday my camp group went kayaking at the pt. England reserve. Before Mr Burt said were we get to go. It was cool and fun it was time to change later after kayaking we went to Tamaki Jim, to have a shower there was a basket ball court there WOW! I said I wanted to go in there but we hat to have a shower, after the shower we all went in the basket ball court. It was time to go it was so cool but there is still more to go.

My best weekend ever

Last weekend my friend James came over to my house. We played roblox on my computer. Next we went on my tramp I did a side flip but it was pretty much like a front flip and I didn’t land it. Then we went on my wii and played Mario cart.  James kept on winning  then we went on my ps3 and played Iron Man 2. Whenever I lost it was his turn then he went home because we were having dinner. After my dinner I watched television, the news was on and it showed all the trees that fell down.

New furniture

Suprise of all suprises Room 13’s new furniture arived on the time! Sitting at our flash new tables and relaxing on our “steps” is heaps of fun. Thanks to Mr Burt and Mr J for geting our new furniture.

Funny Apollo mission on the moon

I like the Apollo mission to the Moon because it is so funny. It is so funny because Buzz Armstrong and another atronaut were singing a weird song. I like it because there weird song sounds funny.

Candy dragon

A old man made a traditional dragon lollipop in China. Melting sugar over a fire, he poured it onto a piece of non stick paper. It looked golden, like caramel. Carefully he worked, so as not to burn himself. It looked amazing!!! He gave it to a boy who was very happy.

The beach

beach it was so hot! so I ran in to the cold salty water.Brrrrr my friend said I got my big boogy bord ther was a giant wave it made me go so fast. I arived on the sand it waIts a nice day to go to the beach my friend said me and my family went in the car we arived at the s time for fish and chips it was a little salty I ran back in the water. Then I made a sand boat it was so cool after it was time to go it was a nice day.

We made these trees to demonstrate what it means to be a great learner. I chose the word respectful because I think it means a good word.

My Holiday

My holiday was so cool ! because I went to the beach.After that me and my family had fish and chips.The day after that me my dad and my mum went to pick up my half brother from Matamata for Chistmas.

Cricket

Running through the cones,I tried to find a ball.


During the game Gloria got hit in the face she was giggling.


Luckily I didint get a turn because I know I suck at cricket.

The Duffy show

Yesterday half of the school watched a Duffy show. It was so funny. Kicking off the show, Scruffy was doing a beat box and sang “Every day I’ffiling.”  It made me laugh so bad and made me cry - sort of. Duffy’s message was to make sure that you read your way around the world.
